Lollipop Chainsaw Game Xbox 360 Product Description

Bursting with sex, blood and rock 'n' roll, Lollipop Chainsaw is the story of a sweet zombie hunter and her quest to uncover the root of colossal zombie outbreak.

With her wickedly awesome chainsaw in hand, Juliet slices, dices and splits her way through hordes of undead, but soon realises the horde is only the opening act to a festival of zombie rock lords determined to kill the chainsaw wielding cheerleader.

  • Killer heroine: Juliet Starling is an 18-year-old student with a dark secret- zombie-hunting with a killer chainsaw in hand. Juliet must balance the drama of high school while carrying out her zombie-hunting lineage.
  • Gameplay design: Celebrated game developer SUDA 51 brings his unique creative style and vision to the gameplay design, taking players through a wild ride of zombies, chainsaws, and rainbows.
  • Edgy storyline: Through an adapted script by James Gunn (the Hollywood filmmaker best known for Dawn Of The Dead and Slither), Juliet must uncover the root of a colossal zombie outbreak at her school, San Romero High, but soon realizes the horde is only the opening act to a festival of zombie rock lords determined to take her down.
  • Combat & weapons: Players will hone their cheerleading acrobatics and chainsaw skills to string together devastating combo moves, taking out hordes of the undead.
  • Zombie rock lords: San Romero High's zombie jocks and undead faculty are the least of Juliet's concerns when she soon realizes that she faces a bigger challenge, zombie rock lords that add a new 'beat' to SUDA 51's over-the-top boss battles.
  • Head bangin' music: With original music created by popular video game composer Akira Yamaoka (best known for the Silent Hill series) and collaboration with a yet-to-be announced artist, Lollipop Chainsaw features a soundtrack that's to die for! In addition to original music, Juliet's playlist will also include familiar songs from various musical genres.

It's quirky, it's stupid and it's fun. You play as Juliet, head cheerleader for San Romero High School and expert zombie hunter looking to put an end to the current zombie outbreak in her town. This is a 7-level hack and slash action game where your weapon of choice is, you guessed it, a chainsaw. The combat is uncomplicated and based on unlockable combos and high scores. The gameplay remains the same all the way through and if it weren't for the bosses to mix things up, the game becomes very stagnant. That said, most bosses drag on very long and take little no to ingenuity and aren't challenging but frustrating. Once finishing the story, there's a challenge mode which, honestly, won't seen very appealing; to replay the levels racing against the clock. Lollipop Chainsaw is a very stylish, very colourful, immature hack and slash game.

As girly as the game may look on the cover, both males and females will love this game, it's funny, the way each level boss is made around a certain style of music, great story line...... and did I mention that YOU GET TO KILL ZOMBIES WITH A CHAINSAW AS YOU PLAY AS A YOUNG SCHOOL GIRL!!!!!!!!!!! Great game that will be sure to bring you a few good laughs and fun

If you want a game that's very odd, but in a good way, Chainsaw Lollipop will definitely be worth your while. It's got over the top action and gore, a stereotypical teen lead character, who's actually so ditzy that it's what makes her likeable, and a talking beheaded boyfriend, so what's not to like? ;) The game actually plays quite nicely once you unlock more powerful moves, so it's worth a shot at a bargain price.

I totally love me some Suda 51. Played the bejebus out of Killer 7 and No More Heroes and loved his latest with Shadows of the Damned (5 out of 5 for me).

I've gotta say though that I found this game to be a bit of a drag. For all the nutty 80s references and bimbo feminism in the cut-scenes, you've got to plow through some pretty horrible combat as punishment. The bosses are the only exception - which I found interesting and fun (though not at all challenging).

Lets just say the old school rock and roll music makes this games sound track awesome. It also has great humor but the game play its self is is slightly disappointing. Fighting with a chainsaw and the combination of movies are not as easy to maneuver as one would think and its a really short game. Good for fun game with interesting fight styles and quirky cheer leading outfits but not for serious gamers.
