Another great Mario platformer which brings back many elements of previous Mario games. There is the return of a bunch of Bowser's children, and it is also great to see the return of Raccoon Mario. Collecting coins is actually really enjoyable and overall the game is quite fun.

The game also features a new mode called Coin Rush which allows for a new way of playing a Mario game.
Really good game... tight and responsive controls.... good graphics, love having to collect all the coins which makes the game feel new and refreshing... obviously follows typical mario formula so the story is nothing special, still it is a joy to play and I highly recommend it to anyone who liked previous mario sidescrollers
ozgame this latest Mario game is the best in a long while it's perfectly catered to the experience of the player, novice or gamer without the frustration and desire to throw the 3DS at the closest wall :D also it's nice to see Tanookie Mario back, it's fun to be able to fly again i'm on my second play through of the game, like many, i rush through wanting to see it all only to discover there's way more to it also, if you're console is online there's the world wide coin count which is pretty cool
The game has a strong emphasis on collecting gold coins. Collect as many as you can get an alternate title screen with the mario statue now being a tanooki mario statue! it has multiplayer options: two players, each with his or her own Nintendo 3DS and copy of the game, play together simultaneously as Mario and6 Luigi. however there is no effect at all in 3D side.
Mario's back in an all new adventure! Once again as Mario/Luigi, it's up to you to save Princess Peach from the evil hands of Bowser. If you've played any of the previous New Super Mario Bros. games then you should know what to expect. The formula remains the same, you travel from world to world and complete a number of courses and fight two bosses in each world in fortress stages. Along the way you can find secrets exits to reveal new areas and also collect Star Coins. There are 9 worlds (3 of those are secret worlds) A new addition to New Super Mario Bros 2, are the amount of coins you'll find. This game heavily emphasizes coin collecting. Coins are plentiful and you'll even gain a few new powerups along your journey to help you collect even more coins. If you collect 1 million coins, you'll get a reward (I won't spoil anything but the reward is pathetic) The music this time around is a let down. While there's nothing wrong with the music itself, the problem is the fact that it's all recycled and stale. There are a few new tracks to be heard, but not many. In addition to the main game, you have a new mode called Coin Rush. In Coin Rush you have 3 stages randomly selected for you. The aim of Coin Rush is to collect as many coins as possible. Simple as that. While New Super Mario Bros 2 doesn't try to do anything different from its predecessors, it succeeds in being fun. If you liked the previous games in the series, you'll like this.
