Super Street Fighter IV in 3D Game 3DS

Please note 3DS console required to play - not compatible with original DS consoles

The ultimate version of Street Fighter makes its seamless transition to the Nintendo 3DS with Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition. The console experience is now in the palm of your hand with rich new features that utilize the capabilities of the Nintendo 3DS to its fullest.

Packed with 35 playable characters, bonus stages and cinematic Ultra combos, Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition expands the action by allowing you to fight your friends around the world using Wi-Fi.

New to the franchise are the figurine mode, which utilizes the Street Pass feature to add a collectible meta-game, and the 3D over-the-shoulder camera option that takes fighting to new depths. For those new to the franchise, a simple mode has been added allowing players to pull off challenging moves with a single touch of the screen.

  • Online / Local WiFi Multiplayer – Fight your friends around the world or in the same room with the only title to utilize the full capabilities of Nintendo’s online network at launch.
  • 35 Playable Characters – Play as a huge array of fighters ranging from classic world warriors like Ryu, Ken, Guile and Chun Li to the newly added Hakan and Juri.
  • Figurine Mode – The collectible meta-game features figurines of iconic characters in a brand-new addition to the Street Fighter franchise. When passing by another Nintendo 3DS owner, your chosen figurines will automatically battle via StreetPass. Next time you play the game you can view the results and collect your loot.
  • 3D Mode – A new over-the-shoulder camera option has been added, offering an exciting new perspective of the action.
  • Game Sharing – Play a game with a friend using the ever-popular Ryu, even when they don’t have a cartridge!
  • Be A Spectator – With the Spectator Mode, use your own Nintendo 3DS to watch your friends battle it out live.
  • Lite/Pro Control Modes – By utilizing a customizable touch screen interface, two new optional control schemes have been added to allow new players to pull off challenging moves with ease (Lite) and veterans to better access button combinations such as throws and three punches (Pro).

Still very fun, still resembles the great NES's Street Fighter II, they even replicated the bonus stages on Arcade mode. But, with that many characters, it's really a pity that the Arcade mode does not make you fight ALL of the available characters - it ends all too soon. Thought it was supposed to be "The Battle of The Century" - you don't become the champion of the century just by defeating a few turnips. About the game mechanic, it's understandable that they might want to keep it as close to the original as possible, but would have been awesome to have on-air block like some of its predecessors and even Marvel vs Capcom's air combos. Conclusion: I won't trade this game for another, it is still that good.

A surprisingly faithful port of the brilliant fighter. Super Street Fighter 4 3d. The game features all 35 characters, sports all the modes seen on the home console version. The graphics and framerate have taken a slight hit but it is still looks very good. The 3DS version also adds some new functionality, the touchpad can be used for fighting (long combos & super moves are a cinch to pull out for newcomers). The game also sports an over the shoulder fighting mode which makes the 3d depth really pronounced. Finally street pass is supported with a figurine mode where charcter figurines you unlock will battle via street pass. All inall this package makes this the best fighter available on the 3DS

I picked this game up thinking I was going to enjoy the heck out of it, and I kind of did. There are plenty of different characters, story lines, and the combos are insanely hard to master (in a good way). But I feel like the 3D doesn't do the game too much justice. There's not enough to keep me playing beyond a few hours, but there are lots of little collectible things for people who are into that. All in all, if you're a fan of the series, definitely pick this one up.

Super Street Fighter IV 3DS is a classic beat them up game that is best for playing on the go or when you need to kill some time waiting. Graphics are good but game play does get stale and combos are awkward to pull off, even with the choice of being able to tap them on the touch screen to automatically perform them. Decent, but I prefer the Tekken series.

Super Street Fighter IV for the 3DS is a fantastic game that allows fans to play as Ken, Ryu, Chun-Li, E. Honda, and many others in 3D... The gameplay mechanics are very swift and fast paced, and the graphics are among the best for the fighting games that have been released on the 3DS... Great game!
