I want to start with THIS FILM IS NOT AN ACTION FLICK. A lot of people went into seeing this movie thinking it was going to be like a fast paced drive action film... incorrect. i put it in an Drama, Thriller and Action. When there is violence in this film I found it to be quite intense, generally to the anger that is involved. But you feel some what justified in his actions for some of it. Gosling plays an interesting character who finds meaning in his shell of a life. An unwilling hero... kinda, sorta. Check it out, it's intense and you do need to be in the mood for that or else your experience might be tainted.
