Adapted from Chuck Palahniuk's novel, David Fincher's controversial drama explores themes of masculinity and violence in contemporary society.
Edward Norton stars as Jack, a bored insomniac, determined to inject some excitement into his life. He meets Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt), a charismatic soap salesman who believes that the only way to escape the banality of modern existence is through violence. To these ends, Jack and Tyler set up 'Fight Clubs', where men can engage in brutal bare-knuckle fights. However, friction develops between the two men when they become rivals for the attentions of Marla (Helena Bonham-Carter).

This is one of those movies, like Groundhog Day or Pulp Fiction, that everyone should see. Not necessarily because it is amazing (which, in my opinion, it is pretty close to), but because of its significance in film culture. The two main characters are played very well (by Brad Pitt and Edward Norton) and the dynamic between them is notable. The plot is perhaps the most impressive aspect of the film. Just watch it.
It's based on a book written by a very very strange author. But the good kind of strange. And the film is similar. In my opinion it is fantastic. Pitt and Norton work extremely well together. The subliminal themes in this film are very clever and you can't help but smile every minute you watch this film. Pitt's character is inspiring. Another great film from David Fincher.
A great movie that lives up to the book that it is based on. It deals with some issues that are becoming even more relevant as time goes on with consumerism. It might not be enjoyed by all but should at least be watched as it has a lot to say
This is a cult classic, and the movie is interesting, but I personally don't like it as much as many others. The movie is fine, well acted (especially Norton), and has an unusual plot. The characters are not very likeable, though, and I don't really care what happens in the film. To me, the movie tries to be more clever than it is. But the movie is still enjoyable, and if you haven't seen it, you really should, as it is a cultural icon in some places.
