This starts as an interesting mystery, has the middle of a good disaster film, very similar to 2012, and ends as a strange science fiction film. All together, it is a bit messy and disjointed, but the individual parts are nicely done. If you can suspend disbelief a few times and try to enjoy each part of the film on its merits (first part: mystery, 2nd part: great effects, 3rd part: challenging sci fi ideas) you'll like this film.
