Wonderful engine building type game . Havnt played race so this was very new to me. My parter and I enjoyed the mechanics and dice rolling . If your looking for lots of player interaction its quite minimal in this game . Basically only phase selecting. Still a good game with lots of strategies and variations Oh and there's lots of dice

A brilliant game that involves luck mitigation and some great engine building. There are lot of ways to win this game and it provides the feel of a big, length game in a relatively short amount of time. The rules are, at a glance, a bit complex but after a few turns, it is quite intuitive and creates some very interesting choices. Great game.

Having never played Race for the Galaxy I cannot compare this to its little brother. However, this is a great game in its own right. Light and quick but with rewardingly deep decisions to be made. Simultaneous play means it plays fast no matter how many players are involved. Just don't play with people you don't trust.
It can be a little hard to get your head around the rules at first. I especially found the trade actions difficult when I first started for some reason. Also, because of the simultaneous actions, it can be difficult to keep track of new players to make sure they are doing things correctly (but that is only for the first one or two plays). Overall a great, mid-weight game that I cannot recommend enough to seasoned gamers.

Lots of people I talk to about this game compare it to its farther race for the galaxy and there is no need to this game stands alone on its all its easy to teach fun and dynamic to play and can be enjoyed by a diverse group of players I highly recommend this game and give it 5 stars.

This game doesn't really have too much with it's brother, 'Race for the Galaxy'. As far as dice game so, it's ok, but not special. 'Nations: the Dice Game" is certainly a better dice game. You have to try and work out what others will do in the round, but that can be really hard to do as it all depends on their dice roll. The dice are nice, though.
