This is a police drama movie about a serial killer, that is so twisted in his murder styles (punishing victims for their supposed transactions against the seven deadly sins) that it is also in part, a horror. But the character drama, and acting, are the key components that make this a great film, with the gruesome deaths an interesting side note (rather than the main course, like a Saw film).
