The nintendo switch Pro-controller is a premium product boasting premium grips and a semi-transparent casing. It has the same buttons as the Nintendo Switch in handheld mode and is designed to be held and operated more easily than the Joy-Con controllers. The primary difference in the controls is that while the directional controls on the Joy-Con (L) are made up of different buttons, the pro controller has a single plus control pad, similar to previous systems.

Decided to buy this in order to play Zelda and it's definitely a better controller than the joy-cons with the joy-con grip. More ergonomic and bigger buttons give a better feel than the smaller joy-con ones. Battery life is also quite good and I don't have the same sync issues I've had with joy-con controllers. The included USB-C charging cable comes in handy when it comes to also charging the Switch console on the go - all you need is a portable battery pack or a USB car charger. Just wish Nintendo would offer these in different colour options.
A great controller that is both ergonomic & responsive. The Nintendo Switch Pro Controller is worthwhile for those who wkill play predominantly in TV mode. The controller is comfortable with textured grips & has a nice transluscent panel. The only issues with the controller are an at times unresponsive D-Pad & the digital triggers.
