In Camel Up, up to eight players bet on five racing camels, trying to suss out which will place first and second in a quick race around a pyramid. The earlier you place your bet, the more you can win — should you guess correctly, of course. Camels don't run neatly, however, sometimes landing on top of another one and being carried toward the finish line. Who's going to run when? That all depends on how the dice come out of the pyramid dice shaker, which releases one die at a time when players pause from their bets long enough to see who's actually moving!

This light betting game is great as a quick diversion. The quick pace and interesting components keep the game interesting for its duration, but not for more than say two games in a row. Perhaps the core mechanic of betting on odds is just a bit too simple to make it a regular at our board gaming group. However, the expansion does add more mechanics and replayability to the game.

Classic betting and racing game with a cool dynamic involving the dice. It's a really great game that I woulf recomend playing with kids as it has great artwork and well designed however some of the pices may require you to reinforce with glue to keep them stable as we found ours was falling apart but this is a minor issue in all its a great game that you will love.

I personally loved this game, although it is not for everyone. If you like to plan long winded strategies turns ahead of everyone else, then this is not the game for you.
It is a love-able, silly, chaotic betting game and I love how you never know whats going to happen next.

This is a great 'gateway' type game. It is simple to learn and quick and light hearted. I find that my wife can get into it, which helps, but it is also great for teaching kids simple math, whilst playing a board game.
Overall, I would recommend this for a family game, or maybe something to play with non-gamers – there isn’t much strategy or depth. However, add in some drinking rules and you have yourself a very fun party game =)

A light racing and betting game. (It's really much more of a betting game, where you want to time the placing of you bets just right, than a racing game.) Not especially strategic with a lot of players (the more players, the more random and hard to predict). Good for casual crowds and kids
