Codenames can now be played with pictures! Whimsical, mind-twisting illustrations are used instead of word cards. Can you find one word that ties your team‘s pictures together? Can be played with or instead of the original Codenames. The rules of the game are the same: Two rival spymasters give one-word clues that can point to multiple pictures on the table. Their teammates try to guess pictures of their color while avoiding those that belong to the opposing team.

Having played quite a lot of Codenames, when I first played this, I wasn't sure I liked it. But after a couple of rounds I realised I almost like it better - the number of small details in each picture mean your clues are now much more open to interpretation which makes for a quite different experience even though the mechanics are exactly the same. All in all, a very cool twist on an already cool game.
Just as good as Codenames itself. Best played with a large group of 6-8 people. It's more challenging than codenames because you need to assign labels to rather abstract pictures. Yet, the same mechanics are there, the same level of thinking is needed and it's extremely fun for the family and friends.
