The Resistance: Avalon pits the forces of Good and Evil in a battle to control the future of civilization. Arthur represents the future of Britain, a promise of prosperity and honor, yet hidden among his brave warriors are Mordred's unscrupulous minions. These forces of evil are few in number but have knowledge of each other and remain hidden from all but one of Arthur's servants. Merlin alone knows the agents of evil, but he must speak of this only in riddles. If his true identity is discovered, all will be lost.

Amazing party game that gives you a lot of memorable moments and a very satisfying feeling when your team wins. I'd recommend not playing this with people who are not ready to lie and manipulate their friends as this will make them feel out of place. I'd also recommend playing this with a full stamina as lying seems to take the most out of the players. :)
Always fun to accuse friends and family of being dirty filthy traitors. Especially when you are in fact the traitor. :)
Resistance: Avalon is a fantastic game. It only takes five minutes to learn and plays well with gamers aged 8 to 80. We must have played it 100 times over the last couple of years and it always entertains. It is longer and more strategic than One Night Ultimate Werewolf and a lot cheaper and quicker than Battlestar Galactica or Shadows of Camelot. You do need 5 players or more to get it on the table and the sweet spot is around 6-8. One of my favourites.
This is a great deception game to play with your friends and family. It plays in 20 minutes. You are all apparently in a team and want to complete quests, but the least one of you are on the evil side and you secretly try to sabotage the quests but you don't want others to know that. This game requires bluffing and diplomacy skills.
I thought I loved The Resistance, but I prefer Avalon. The role cards are great and can be swapped out for normal 'generic' good or evil guys to make it a bit easier for new players before adding the interesting roles which make the gameplay awesome. It's so interesting seeing the interaction between players and trying to figure out which character specifically they might be.
