Product Description

Bioshock 2 Game PC

Follow-up to BioShock, 2K Games' critically acclaimed and commercially successful 2007 release, BioShock 2 is a first-person shooter set in the fictional underwater city of Rapture. As in the original game, BioShock 2 features a blend of fast-paced action, exploration and puzzle-solving as players follow varying paths through the overarching storyline based on the decisions that they are forced to make at various points in the game. In addition to a further fleshing out of the franchise's popular storyline, players can look forward to new characters, game mechanics, weapons, locations and a series first, multiplayer game options.

Set approximately 10 years after the events of the original BioShock, the halls of Rapture once again echo with sins of the past. Along the Atlantic coastline, a monster — somehow familiar, yet still quite different from anything ever seen — has been snatching little girls and bringing them back to the undersea city. It is a Big Sister, new denizens of Rapture who were once one of the forgotten little girls known as Little Sisters, known to inhabit the city's dank halls. No longer a pawn used to harvest ADAM, the dangerously powerful gene-altering lifeblood of Rapture, from the bodies of others and in turn run the risk of being harvested herself, the Big Sister is now the fastest and most powerful thing in Rapture. You, on the other hand are the very first Big Daddy, in fact the prototype, that for some reason has reactivated. You are similar to the Big Daddies familiar from the original BioShock, but also very different in that you possess free will and no memory of the events of the past ten years. The question is, as you travel through the decrepit and beautiful fallen city beneath the waves, hunting for answers and the solution to your own survival, are you really the hunter, or the hunted?

  • Evolution of the Genetically Enhanced Shooter: Innovative advances bring new depth and dimension to each encounter. New elements, such as the ability to dual-wield weapons and Plasmids, allow players to create exciting combinations of punishment.
  • Return to Rapture: Set approximately 10 years after the events of the original BioShock, the story continues with an epic, more intense journey through one of the most captivating and terrifying fictional worlds ever created.
  • You Are the Big Daddy: Take control of BioShock's signature and iconic symbol with the original prototype Big Daddy, and experience the power and raw strength of Rapture's most feared denizens as you battle powerful new enemies.
  • Continuation of the Award-Winning Narrative: New and unique storytelling devices serve as the vehicle for the continuation of one of gaming's most acclaimed storylines.

Multiplayer features:

  • Genetically Enhanced Multiplayer: Earn experience points during gameplay to earn access to new Weapons, Plasmids and Tonics that can be used to create hundreds of different combinations, allowing players to develop a unique character that caters to their playing style.
  • Experience Rapture's Civil War: Players will step into the shoes of Rapture citizens and take direct part in the civil war that tore Rapture apart.
  • See Rapture Before the Fall: Experience Rapture before it was reclaimed by the ocean and engage in combat over iconic environments in locations such as Kashmir Restaurant and Mercury Suites, all of which have been reworked from the ground up for multiplayer.
  • FPS Veterans Add Their Touch to the Multiplayer Experience: Digital Extremes brings more than 10 years of first-person shooter experience including development of award-winning entries in the Unreal and Unreal Tournament franchise.

This is one of the few computer games I've actually played the whole way through. I don't play games often and usually get bored but this, and the first bioshock I loved! Beautiful graphics with an interesting plot and engaging game play. You really get immersed in the world.

Mooore Bioshock...YES. It's easy to see just as much work went into this one as the first Bioshock, and yet remains to be different while staying a similar game. Truely a sequel to be worthy of play. Still easily drawn into the story and same great gameplay. maybe a little bit better.

i purchased bioshock 2 on pc and to this day has been my favorite game. The eary atmosphere created in the rapture in bioshock 1 is carried on to the second one but rather than playing as a human who seeming discovers the rapture by luck you are one of the almight big daddies who protects the little sisters. This game i found the be a improved version of the first with better graphics and some improvements the the problems seen in the first. i loved the game and i hope who ever reads this finds this helpfull in determening a purchase.

While the original Bioshock set new standards in graphics and gameplay, Bioshock 2 is more of an evolution than a revolution. Building on the mechanics of the first game, and ironing out some (but not all) of the bugs and gripes with the PC version of the first, Bioshock 2 is a solid sequel, without trying to reinvent the wheel. The story doesn't draw you in as much, but improved weapons, enemies, plasmids and mini-games keep you engaged through to its conclusion.

So I played this on the PS3 and loved it. I got this for my house mate to play on his PC and now I wish I had a second copy all for me. But I sneak into his room from time to time and play on his version. It's worth it. Looks twice as good as the PS3 version. More FPS and way less load time. It's good to buy a gift that keeps on giving. Oh yeah, one other thing, THE GAME IS AMAZING!!!!
