Dead Island Game PC

Terror. Violence. Madness. Bedlam. A holiday paradise gone mad. A tropical island turns into total chaos after a mysterious zombie outbreak. Cut off from the rest of the world, the player’s only chance to survive is to fight to the death and find a way to escape from the island.

Dead Island combines first-person action with a heavy focus on melee combat, character development and customization of a vast array of weapons. All of these gameplay features are presented in a dark story inspired by classic zombie movies with a gritty and engrossing campaign that can be played with up to four players in co-op mode.

Set in an open world tropical island, hordes of different festering zombies await players around every corner while they embark on a variety of thrilling missions through the holiday resort. With firearms and ammunition being scarce the player must rely on utilizing found items as weapons for self-defense and fight off zombie hordes in intense melee combat. A diverse range of items can be collected and will later serve to transform the player’s ordinary makeshift weapons into serious instruments of destruction.

In addition to satisfying even the most bloodthirsty action fan’s fantasy, Dead Island also features role-playing elements which allow the player to develop one of the game’s unique character classes according to their preferences, all the while learning new skills and fresh tactics during their journey through the perilous environments of the island. What’s more, anytime during a game up to four players can seamlessly join together and experience the intense combat and immersive story with cooperative gameplay.

With the all-new Chrome Engine 5 powering Dead Island, the game will use the latest installment of Techland’s acclaimed proprietary game engine, allowing the player to experience the tropical island paradise in graphical splendor with diverse environments like lush forests and detailed city environments.

  • First-person melee combat
  • 4-player coop
  • Weapon customization
  • Set on an gorgeous open world tropical island
  • RPG elements for character development
  • Hordes of gruesome zombies

One of the worst games I have ever played. Whoever thought a 3rd person zombie game with next to zero guns was a good idea should be shot. It's boring and repetitive, the guns take ages to find and when you do get them you end up running out of ammo. Wasn't any better in coop which is often the salvation of this sort of game. I didn't witness any of the bugs that were oft complained about. Steer clear of this one, it's not worth your time or money.

Dead Island is an odd game. Trying to be a Borderlands-style action-RPG FPS set on a zombie infested island it soon becomes clear that it lacks a significant amount of polish and refinement. Don't get me wrong, its still a fun experience running around a giant open-world island slaying zombies with all sorts of melee weapons and completing quests but the game's bugs certainly limit the enormous potential of this ambitious title. Here's hoping they can clean it up in time for their next Dead Island release.

This game is a dissapointing mess. There are so many bad design decisions, it would bore both you and me to list them, so I'll just talk about some other things that made the game bad. Remember that awesome trailer that raised so much hype? It set up a sad, dramatic tone that the game didn't follow up on. Even in game it has a hard time making up it's mind about whether it's a tragic drama, or a wacky beat-em-up in which you can break zombies arms and watch them flail about like a retarded gibbon. It's also really buggy.

This game is fantastic. The visuals are stunning, the combat is intuitive and well thought out and the enemies and characters are varied. The atmosphere this game creates is impressive as the play feels the tension to a great level and the zombies are truly scary. The weapons in this game are create and horrifying. Overall the only thing this game lacks is some variety in the combat and missions.

I enjoyed Dead Island alot and I didn't even touch on co-op. I found there seemed a lack of firearms, but I guess they were going for some realism there. I found some of the missions sometimes repetitively involving getting the mission, going to the required location, getting the item, killing the Thug Zombie (mini-boss), and returning the item. But I still appreciated roaming the island looking for more blunt and sharp weapons to throw at zombies.
