Customer Reviews

While disappointing when compared to DA:Orgins it is still a decent game worth playing for any fans of the first game for the story it offers alone. The lack of differing environments is a huge letdown when compared to the varied environments of Origins. Hardcore RPG fans will be disappointed that the combat has been streamlined and now offers much less tactical input. If you can look past the faults and go into the game knowing that it's a downgrade from Origins you should have an enjoyable experience stemming from the well fleshed out characters and the intriguing story.

A good game, lacking in scope from it's predecessor Dragon Age Origins. The plot moves along and if you give it time to grow on you. It has memorable characters and i happen to like the combat mode. And i consider it a must play and worthy addition in anyones games inventory

This is an odd game to critique as it has a very fascinating story, characters and sense of context within the vast world glimpsed in the prequel; however is significantly lacking on the gameplay standpoint. Removing most of the hardcore tactical planning elements from the previous game this one only seems to raise the difficulty through the implementation of more enemies or enemies with higher health - neither of which being particularly fun to fight as the same enemies and locations are reused shamelessly, seriously it is ridiculous. I suppose I would give this a recommendation as it is quite low in price nowadays; however I personally would only recommend it to people who have not played the first game but are into fantasy role playing. Fans of the original will be disappointed.
