Product Description

Akibas Trip Undead & Undressed PS Vita Game

Akiba's Trip Undead & Undressed PS Vita is an open-world action RPG in which players undertake numerous missions in a virtual recreation of Akihabara, Tokyo's popular ”Electric Town” district. The player's goal is to identify vampires called “Synthesizers” with the help of an in-game smartphone app, then engage them in battle to strip their clothes off so their bodies are fully exposed to sunlight. Boasting a unique combat system in which everyday objects become weapons, multiple story routes, a varied cast of characters based on common anime and video game tropes and a narrative dripping with social satire and subtle nods to Japanese pop culture, Akiba's Trip is a present-day supernatural adventure for the gamer in all of us.

  • Faithful Recreation of Japan's Electronics Mecca -Like a virtual tour of Tokyo's Akihabara ward, all major outdoor locations from the town have been painfully recreated, with over 130 real-life shops accurately represented
  • Unique and Customizable Brawler-Style Combat - Anything can be a weapon, from baseball bats to comics to motherboards, and individual clothing items may be targeted, stripped and added to the player's own inventory
  • Satirical Story with Divergent Paths and Multiple Endings - Playing off common anime and video game tropes for social satire, the player's choices determine how the story progresses, leading to one of many unique endings
  • Modern Day Setting Enhances Gameplay Options and Adds Pop Culture Feel - The in-game smartphone is used to check email, read comments on "Pitter"? take side quests, catalog ad flyers, launch apps to identify the undead and much, much more

Customer Reviews

This was a really good game. I enjoyed the otaku story elements, the Akiba characters in general, and the idea of stripping clothes off enemies - it was hilarous and there were so many cute outfits. Also I enjoyed all the otaku goods in the shops and the faithful recreation of the neighbourhood AKihibara. I replayed the game once because it was so good. I recommend this to JPRG fans as well as anime, manga and gaming fans.

The PSVita overall is a great console for strange and weird games, and this is no exception. Akiba's Trip: Undead and Undressed is an adventure-style RPG with a brawling fighting system/open world battles, where you play as a boy who gets lured into a science experiment by the thought of anime figurines as a prize. It turns out to be much more serious and he gets sucked into a world where he must fight monsters and kill them by ripping off their clothes in the middle of the streets of Akihabara. The story is quite interesting, the characters are different (but still a bit tropey) and there are quite a few sidequests to complete. I must say that the game only took me 20 hours to finish including all the side missions, but there's replayability in the girl you choose and getting all the clothes.

This game was really quite fun. It had a decent story, enjoyable characters and great graphics. But there are a few problems. The game requires a few seconds, between 5 to 20, to load npcs in each area you go to. it honestly isn't that much of a problem, you get well use to it after a while. The gameplay is a good beat-em up style, and the controls are simple enough. Triangle for top attack, circle for middle and X for bottom, though i did wish that there were some button pressing combo's you could execute. There is replay value, so overall. I felt it well worth the money for the game.
