Product Description

Danganronpa 2 Goodbye Despair PS VITA Game

Jabberwock Island – once a popular tourist destination, this now uninhabited island remains oddly pristine. You and your classmates at the elite Hope's Peak Academy have been brought to this island by your super-cute teacher for a “lovey-dovey, heart-throbbing school trip.” Everyone seems to be having fun in the sun...until Monokuma returns to restart his murderous game! Trapped on this island of mutual killing, your only hope of escape rests in solving the island’s mysteries. But be warned—sometimes the truth can be its own despair...

Danganronpa 2 Goodbye Despair features:

  • Deadly Island Vibes: Murder is the only means of escape when you’re trapped on this island paradise. As your fellow classmates start dropping like coconuts, you’ll need to delve into each murderous incident, forage for clues, and interview your classmates to reveal the opportunity, motive, and means behind each killer case!
  • Tribal Council: You’ll go head-to-head in all new minigames with the other students during the Class Trial, shooting down their false truths and using your evidence to uncover what really happened. But watch out! If a student is unconvinced, they'll challenge you to a one-on-one Rebuttal Showdown and force you to defend your argument!
  • Survival of the Keenest: Match up your evidence with your fellow classmates’ arguments and determine who’s really telling the truth. Once you’ve got a suspect in your sights, turn up that tropical heat in a variety of timing-and reflex-based game systems to reveal the ultimate truth and escape with your life!

An excellent sequel to "Trigger Happy Havoc". I played this right after finishing the first game and it did not disappoint me. The mini games are different and a bit harder than the first danganronpa game but also slightly frustrated at a time. There are lots of twists and turns that blow your own mind, and obviously, expect to feel angry when your favourite characters got killed D': If you aim for platinum trophy, unfortunately, this game requires a lot more grinding than the first D:

I have nothing new to add to all of the other reviews other than who this game is aimed at and why I adored this game. Firstly, if you are a fan of massive action and spectacle, this game isn't for you. This game is for those who like to read and like the slow build up with immense gratification over all else. That is what this game is. 90% of it is buildup with that final chapter being the payoff and it is amazing at that aspect. But onto what I loved. The tone of this game is amazing, not as good as the first one which I still believe to be the superior game, but still amazing. The tone is creepy and messed up but still has that light hearted aspect that come with the life of a highschooler. The gameplay is relatively unchanged compared to the first one though the new trial minigames aren't that good. The gameplay is still amazing despite a few tweaks. Now one last thing. If you get too attached to the wrong characters, you're screwed because most people die in the story. My favourite characters got killed off in one chapter and I was just devastated, but I guess that's part of the appeal.

A wonderful sequel to an already amazing story. This game absolutely cannot be played without first finishing the original game, as they are technically visual novels, and most of the appeal is through the story. That's not to say that there isn't gameplay elements to enjoy though. With a new cast of characters once again isolated from the rest of the world and encouraged to kill one another for freedom and the truth, things get quite crazy and hectic very quickly. I's' quite hard to explain why these games are good without possibly spoiling anything, so ill just say that if you've played and liked the first game, then this is definitely worth your time, and if you haven't played the first game, then hurry up and do so!

Danganronpa 2 really takes its time to build emotions up and leads you to think into one direction, but wholly surprises you by taking a different direction. A lot of twists and unexpected, but witty ways of killing and solving appears throughout the games. It's a refreshing sequel to the first game. Truly a worthy game for the vita.

I loved Danganronpa 1 a lot, and this game is truly worthy of being its squeal. I love this game so much more than the first one, the characters, game play, and the story, oh the story...its a seriously amazing game worth every dollar I paid for it and worth every month I waited for it. If you want a good PS Vita game to play, buy both Danganronpa 1 and 2, they are the best games on the Vita (since the Vita has such a small game selection) by far!
