Visual novels are one of the drawing points of the Vita and Danganronpa is a shining example of it. You solve mysteries and it has a bit of Persona 4 interactions gimmick at the side with mostly courtroom battles finding out who did it. It's great fun and don't let the VN tag put you off.

If you enjoy visual novel & like playing detective or solving mystery, you must pick this one up. The story is captivating and it will keep you guessing. The character is likeable, that throughout the gameplay, you wish nothing would happen to your them. The gameplay is amazing and easy to understand - you have to investigate and examine many clues, then engage with other characters in many different minigames to uncover the truth. The game teaches you the mechanics one by one so you wont get overwhelmed, but also the difficulty increases at each chapter so you will get a sense of challenge out of it. The menu is easy to access, and the music is great. There are two audio - Japanese (YES) or English that you can choose, and the voice acting are done almost throughout the mock trial so that was a great touch of the game

Imagine the Ace Attorney games crossed with Battle Royale, all overseen by a maniacal teddy bear. Murder and intrigue leads to investigation scenes, compelling trial gameplay that is a bit more complex and interactive than Ace Attorney, and some pretty brutal executions. I'd been eyeing this off on Steam for a few months, but lo and behold it's on the Vita so it was definitely at the top of my list of purchases.

Danganronpa is a game that has a lot of mystery and crime solving elements to it. You could even go as far as saying that this is the Phoenix Wright of the PSP/ PS Vita. The game puts you in the shoes of Makoto Naegi, the Ultimate Luck Student, as he is trapped in a school by a homicidal bear, Monokuma, along with his classmates as they are forced play a killing game.
Each and every chapter builds up to a finale that is so satisfying. Overall, this game lasted me around 20-25 hours, more than what you can say for an average console game. I definitely recommend this game to anyone who wants an addicting visual novel.

Danganronpa is a Japanese visual novel where the main character has to investigate and solve the murder cases by dragging the killer in the class trials in a form of mini-games. This version on Vita is the remastered version of the PSP version (which was never released outside Japan). If you have played Ace Attorney series, you will enjoy this game very much. It's a good time to pick up this game if you have never played this game. The direct sequel, Danganronpa was released last year and the spin-off has been announced to be released this year.
