This is probably something that I should have looked into prior to purchase in the interests of saving myself a little bit of disappointment, but for those that do not know, this is NOT a direct port of the PS3/Xbox/PC/Mac version of the game. It is, instead, the version that is available on the iPad (or perhaps the version on the iPad is a copy of this, I'm not sure). As such, the game lacks of the polish of the full-blown console/computer counterpart. However, it is nonetheless a decent play, and certainly better than the iPad version given that you now have proper controls to work with rather than relying solely on the touch screen. So what suffers as a result of being a cut-down version? Firstly, graphics aren't as good. Not horrible, but definitely a step down from the visuals of the proper form. Second, story missions are substantially reduced in number and in many cases simplified from that in the console/computer equivalent. Lastly, a simple hub in a Hogwarts courtyard takes the place of the sprawling expanse of the Hogwarts campus, Diagon Alley and London. It's still fun enough to play, but you nevertheless miss the scale and presentation of its big brother.
