Following in the footsteps of Persona 3 Portable, the second highest rated PSP game of all time, and based on Persona 4, one of the most beloved ATLUS titles ever, P4G delivers an enhanced and expanded portable roleplaying experience.
Visuals have been beautifully remastered to take advantage of the vibrant 5" OLED display. The game's aural presentation is better than ever, with 1.5 times the voiced dialogue of the original release. A new online dungeon rescue feature allows users to call on other players for assistance when they are about to die in the TV world.
P4G is also overflowing with new content: new Personas to collect; new story events along with an all new character; stunning new anime cut scenes, which include a new opening animation with a new song from master composer Shoji Meguro; a host of fan suggested tweaks and changes, and much, much more! Persona 4 Golden is far more than just a handheld version of an all-time classic: it's the best way to experience it yet!
A bigger, better version of one of the best RPGs ever: Improved visuals, tons of new story and voiced dialogue, and much more combine with deep turn-based combat, addicting character and Persona management, and a memorable cast of personalities.
Make meaningful bonds with characters via social links: In between its exploration, battles, and Persona management, P4G lets players choose how they wish to spend their time each day in a variety of different activities.
Will you uncover the true ending to the story? Nearly 100 hours of gameplay thrusts you into a deep mystery where midnight television leads to serial killings.

I really enjoyed this game. The characters were really well created - I often get impatient if there is too much storytelling but this was really enjoyable. I thoroughly enjoyed levelling up as well. Interesting dungeons and enemies. Creating personas was also a lot of fun.

The epitome of JRPG, right in your hands. Expect between 40 - 100 hours of gameplay. It's got that classic mix of social activities similar to visual novels, plus the dungeon grinding of a good JRPG. The characters are interesting, the graphics are amazing for a PS2 port, and the dub isn't actually too bad. As much as I enjoyed the themes of Persona 3 (shooting yourself in the head to activate your Persona, DARK), this has a more compelling story and much better presentation. You can actually walk around town/school and explore, as opposed to it being limited to dialogue boxes.
Gritty and dark main story, brings up other themes like kids being raised by the TV because of absentee familial figures, intrigue, inner demons, all whilst trying to stay on top of your studies and school life.

Persona 4: Golden is a remake of the PS2 release of Persona 4. It has a lot of extra content added and gives the player a chance to play another handheld Persona game. Persona 4: Golden follows an unnamed protagonist as he as his friends investigate a series of murders occurring in their small town of Inaba. The protagonist has a year to solve the crime and form friendships with various town residents.
- Lots of collectibles, weapons, items, accessories, costumes, etc
- New Game+
- A wide variety of characters and battle styles
- Romantic options
- Meaningful dialogue and character development
- Level grinding
- Repetitive dungeons
- Annoying voice acting
Persona 4: Golden also has the following additional content over the old game:
- Menu extras
- A new character
- New scenes
- Scooter rides
A quality game option if you are into Japanese dungeon crawlers/RPGs.

The best game on the PSVita & a fantastic jrpg. Persona 4 Golden continues Atlus' penchant for an RPG that also has you managing your everyday life & relationships. The game centres around a series of bizarre murders that you & your school friends begin to investigate. Along the way you will engage in turn based combat against mosters & manage your inventory like many jrpgs. But what sets Persona apart is that you will go to school & learn, get a job, engage in extra curricular activities, cultivate relationships & find a girlfriend. It makes for an unique and engaging experience. A wonderful game that is a must buy for all Vita owners.
