Final Fantasy X-2 is the first sequel in the long-respected series. This sequel keeps the familiar environment fresh with the inclusion of a newly created battle system. The first female-led Final Fantasy, it combines an experience that is both light-hearted and melancholy with a tragic story of unrequited love and dark secrets. Two years after Yuna's fateful journey to defeat Sin in Final Fantasy X, the once chaotic world of Spira has gone through a massive transformation, entering a period of "Eternal Calm". Despite the Calm, Yuna's heart is empty and longs for her lost friends. When she obtains a mystical sphere that contains imagery of what might be the Blitzball player she thought was gone forever, Yuna is driven to seek the truth behind what she has seen. Incorporating a completely revamped battle system, new job classes, diverse looks for the leading female characters, renovated maps and enhanced character development systems, Final Fantasy X2 delivers a fresh new look.

An odd sequel but it's still got good RPG elements to it. It tries to be creative with the new dressphere battle system but abilities end up appearing rather samey and the characters are less varied; if you don't mix and match them, that is. It's a lot more upbeat than the original, though. Still a good and interesting addition to the series.
This was the first direct sequel of a Final Fantasy game, and that was pretty exciting back when this game originally came out. They are, however, fairly different with a different battle set up, map system and game play. A criticism I often hear of this game is that "it's for girls" but it really isn't (and I don't believe in games being separated for gender anyway). It's for fans of Final Fantasy X. Worth getting in the original PS2 format or the HD re-release for PS3 that is coming soon.
A sequel of sorts! This game is a third person turn based real time combat Japanese role playing adventure. In my view this is a stand alone game, but it is set in the final fantasy world of number 10. You play a new hero with a new story etc. Very pretty and spectacular looking and highly musical. Up beat!
FInal Fantasy X-2 returns us to the world of Spira, only with a lot more freedom. In Yuna's quest for truth, the game revives the ancient Job system, enabling you to use a variety of classes, and can switch during battles. The game also reveals a lot of hidden truths not seen in the first game, and is very enjoyable.
Sequel to FFX, FFX-2 takes place two years after the end of Final Fantasy X. The story expands by seeing where the girls are after the first game ended. The game offers players a variety of battle techniques through the use of the Sphere Grid system, allowing players to try a little variety. There are a few minigames and dungeons that can be played/explored to attain greater rewards.
