I found Killzone 2 to be an excellent first person shooter. The whole look and feel of the game is awesome. The weapons look amazing and the landscapes are incredible. The enemy are formidable oppenents and use cover and tactics to make it challenging for the player. There's no running into the open, blasting away and killing everyone. Every battle has to be fought with your wits as well as your weapons. Very likeable and well worth replaying time and again.

Controls are a tad clunky, and because you cannot assign specific actions to your PS3 controller, it can be a little trickier to get the hang of. The gameplay is pretty average. The enemy is simply a wave after wave approach, and will always come from the same route should you die and the game takes you back to your last checkpoint. At times, the AI can even be a tad predictable... But it looks amazing, Graphically speaking, the scenes and enemies are wonderfully built. The multiplayer is a little out dated as not as many people play this game as i thought they would. All in all, an alright game, Very few bugs, Had some enjoyment, but it didnt last. There are many other games out there which are worth more of your time

Quite good. It's certainly a visually striking game, and the weighty shooting controls add to the immersion. However, the characters are pretty boring, at least the protagonists. Top notch gameplay and a beautiful (if harsh) world make it worth playing, but don't expect it to blow you away, story-wise.

A fantastic first person shooter and one of Sony's best franchises. Killzone 2 is an excellent fps set within a desolate scifi world. The games presentation is incredible. The graphics, soundtrack and voice acting are all among the best you will see on the PS3. The weighty cover based shooting mechanics are very well implemented. The single player is quite lengthy and becomes quite difficult in the latter stages, the multiplayer is deep and provides plenty of length to the game. The only downside is the story which seems a little weakly fleshed out. Overall a brilliant experience and a must for PS3 owners.

When it comes to FPS games, they all have a look and feel that makes them unique. That is what makes Killzone 2 a real winner. The ability to hug cover and pick off enemies is very unique and feels natural throughout the game. Every encounter and every shot has presence, making every moment a memorable and exciting experience until the very end.
