Product Description

Singularity Game PS3

Time is your weapon. Time is your enemy. Time is collapsing.

It's 2010. A powerful and wealthy Russian mercenary has reopened a mysterious research base on Katorga-12, an island off the coast of Siberia. This island was the site of Soviet experimentation in the 1950s that led to a catastrophic, Chernobyl-sized accident - the Singularity - that fractured time itself. Katorga-12 was abandoned, locked down and shrouded in secrecy until today.

You play as Nate Renko, a U.S. Air Force pilot sent on a recon mission to investigate new, wild readings coming from Katorga-12. Your plane is brought down, and you quickly find yourself in the middle of a massive Russian cover up that started during the Cold War and that threatens all of humanity today. You fight to survive, and to stop the Singularity from spreading and destroying the world.

 • Intense Combat: Fight your way through an ever-shifting environment haunted with time-ravaged creatures, while sudden time waves hurl you back and forth between 1950 and the present day.
 • Time as a Weapon: Use the TMD - the Time Manipulation Device - to change the age of objects and enemies for your combat advantage.
 • Conspiracy-Driven Storyline: Unravel the mystery behind this top-secret Russian military experiment before it's too late.
 • Epic Sci-Fi Environments: Explore a graphically rich, fully interactive world with Unreal 3-powered lighting, physics, and effects.
 • Compelling Multiplayer: Test your skills and strategy in unique, time-based multiplayer action spanning across two eras.

Customer Reviews

Weapons of mass fun! This is a first person shooter game jam packed with a whole bunch of very unique weapons that allows for some very interesting options in how to take out your enemies. The story is great with a Russian setting and style. There is a device in the game that allows you to age things, basically allowing for objects in the world to become fixed or decayed depending what is going to help you. A novel first person shooter!

This game has its influences written in bold throughout, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. It's very inspired by Bioshock and there are elements of Resistance and even Portal. Overall there are some great ideas and moments, but it's a little ordinary and forgettable. The visuals are murky and the textures aren't great, but if you put that aside you can have some great fun here. The gameplay is solid and it's a decent campaign.

It's a bit of a mess, but Singularity is still a surprisingly enjoyable romp through Cold War-era dystopias and strange top secret labs. The graphics are pretty muted, there's some annoying technical bugs and design issues, but the weapons are mostly fun to use and the world reasonably fleshed out. Worth a look if you're after a possible cult hit.

Singularity is a fantastic shooter dripping with atmosphere and an interesting alternate history/time traveling story line similar to Resistance: Fall of Man or Bioshock.

The game starts off slowly but once you obtain the Time Manipulation Device (TMD) and start unlocking some of it's may destructive powers you will have a bevy of options for disposing of your enemies.

This game is just great! If you can find a copy go buy it and support developer RAVEN who also made the awesome X-men origins: Wolverine on PS3 and 360.

Bioshock meets Half Life pretty much sums it up, if you like the sound of that you will not be disappointed. Point Form:

The Good: Excellent atmosphere, Great graphics, Good story, Fun use of the TMD/powers, Great pacing, Fun weapons and gameplay, Interesting game world.

The Bad: Some clipping issues (bodies falling into walls etc).
