Definitely nowhere near Arkham City, but a fair enough ending to an otherwise amazing game series. The graphics were really good for the current gen consoles, also the actions and sequences were again amazing like the predecessors. Not a huge fan of the Batmobile missions which were very repetitive and got boring after a while. Overall a good game but could have been better.
A great ending to the Arkham series, thoroughly enjoyed and would highly recommend.
To be honest I was disappointed with this game. My main gripe with the game is the inclusion of the Bat-mobile. I loved the previous Arkham games and loved gliding over Gotham's rooftops and dropping down to street level to take out the thugs and low lifes, or to start a mission, or to do the riddler challenges that I enjoyed so much in Arkham City. But here there is too much reliance on the Bat-mobile. It was cool to drive it around the streets, mainly in the pursuit parts of the game, but when it was time for battle I just hated the controls and it was more likes some sort of futuristic tank. I know a lot of people loved the Bat-mobile, but for me it was a detriment to the game overall. The combat was as great as always, fast and flowing and so much fun when you had you're combo's going and using the quick gadgets or swapping between character's mid fight was awesome. There were a couple of new take down moves which were cool, but I just felt that the game wasn't as good as it should be considering this is the last in the series. The plot behind the story of what the bad guys were up to definitely upped the stakes than the previous games but I still felt "meh" about the whole thing. Maybe I've just overdosed on Batman games over the last few years and I'm being overly critical of the Bat-mobile. Still though, to me there was no sense what so ever in the Riddler building all these racing tracks for you. I thought that was just stupid and another detriment to the game. I also didn't like the Arkham Knight as the main villain. No-one can replace the Joker in that regard. I think it was more the voice actor who let the character down for me. He just didn't "do it" for me. Scarecrow was cool but not enough to save the day. I think if you already own the rest of the games, then pick this one up to complete the collection, especially with Return to Arkham being out. If you've never played any of the Batman Arkham games then I'd recommend picking Return to Arkham up. In my opinion you'll get a lot more fun out of that instead. Or if it's ever released, pick all the remastered versions up in whatever pack or collection Rocksteady decide to come up with. It's a sad goodbye to Batman for me
Batman Arkham Knight is a great, surprising and fitting conclusion to the fantastic Arkham Trilogy. The story is strong and emotional with the large array of Batman's closest allies and greatest villains that creates a finale that will be remembered and continually discussed. The gameplay still has one of the greatest fighting systems and the introduction of the Batmobile is joyous, arcade fun. This is a definite buy for PlayStation 4 owners!
Aw man how come it took so long to make a Batman game this good? I knew that when I got a PS4 I had to buy this game so I did and it did not disappoint. The Story is one of the best Batman story lines ever and the Arkham knight was the Batman villain that we were waiting for.The other charaters such as Scarecrow,Robin,Nightwing,Orcale and so many more were done very well as well.If you are a Batman fan you have to buy this game if you get the chance but seriously prepare for many bat mobile sections.
