Dream Drop Distance was a great addition to the Kingdom hearts series. KH 2.8 HD is an excellent remaster, finally bringing the last Kingdom Hearts game to PlayStation in preparation for Kingdom Hearts 3. This remaster compilation also includes a short game related to Birth by Sleep as well as a cinematic. Not only is this full of great content, but is a great deal when on sale.
I am a huge fan of kingdom hearts and got this game for Dream Drop Distance as my 3DS was not working properly. The HD iteration with smooth 60 fps gameplay is amazing and easier to play compared with the 3DS version. With stellar story and gameplay, I really enjoyed the Aqua section as I played Birth By Sleep which is hands down the best kingdom hearts iteration for me although with a dark story.
Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue is the full-HD remastered version of Kingdom Hearts 3D Dream Drop Distance. It is not Kingdom Hearts 2 HD, which was also rereleased as a double package KH1.5 and KH2.5. Anyways, with KH 3 so close, fans should definitely get this to support the series.
After a nice collection of KH1.5 and 2.5 we now have 2.8 which contains 2 games and a movie which basically setups what KH3 will be. Being able to play HD version of the KH nintendo 3ds game in 60fps and also play a sneak peek of the KH3 engine plus a beautiful fully voiced movie is beyond amazing.
Been waiting a million years to see what has happened to Aqua and I'm loving every moment of being able to play DDD on playstation, when it was overly expensive for 3ds. Such an amazing series and a great lead up to when KH3 finally makes its way out of the gate.
