It was a campaign cleverly prepared and brilliantly executed by captain Andrew Strauss, coach Andy Flower and their national team of heroes.

The first Test in Brisbane ended in a draw after Cook and Jonathan Trott tore into the Aussie attack with a record partnership of 329.

After a setback in Perth, back came England to dominate in Melbourne and Sydney and win both Tests, again by an innings - another record!
