Product Description

T.I.M.E Stories

The T.I.M.E Agency protects humanity by preventing temporal faults and paradoxes from threatening the fabric of our universe. As temporal agents, you and your team will be sent into the bodies of beings from different worlds or realities to successfully complete the missions given to you. Failure is impossible, as you will be able to go back in time as many times as required. T.I.M.E Stories is a narrative game, a game of "decksploration". Each player is free to give their character as deep a "role" as they want, in order to live through a story, as much in the game as around the table. But it's also a board game with rules which allow for reflection and optimization. At the beginning of the game, the players are at their home base and receive their mission briefing. The object is then to complete it in as few attempts as possible. The actions and movements of the players will use Temporal Units (TU), the quantity of which depend on the scenario and the amount of players. Each attempt is called a "run"; one run equals the use of all of the Temporal Units at the players' disposal. When the TU reach zero, the agents are recalled to the agency, and restart the scenario from the beginning, armed with their experience. The object of the game is to make the perfect run, while solving all of the puzzles and overcoming all of a scenario’s obstacles. The base box contains the entirety of the T.I.M.E Stories system and allows players to play all of the scenarios, the first of which — Asylum — is included. During a scenario, which consists of a deck of 120+ cards, each player explores cards, presented most often in the form of a panorama. Access to some cards require the possession of the proper item or items, while others present surprises, enemies, riddles, clues, and other dangers. You usually take possession of local hosts to navigate in a given environment, but who knows what you'll have to do to succeed? Roam a med-fan city, looking for the dungeon where the Syaan king is hiding? Survive in the Antarctic while enormous creatures lurk beneath the surface of the ice? Solve a puzzle in an early 20th century asylum? That is all possible, and you might even have to jump from one host to another, or play against your fellow agents from time to time... In the box, an insert allows players to "save" the game at any point, to play over multiple sessions, just like in a video game. This way, it's possible to pause your ongoing game by preserving the state of the receptacles, the remaining TU, the discovered clues, etc. T.I.M.E Stories is a decksploring game in which each deck makes anything possible!

Great teamwork game. It's extremely engaging and loads of fun! It reminds me of an escape room with the puzzles and communication aspects of the game. You get great value for your money, as you have to most likely play it multiple times before you complete it. The big downside is once you finish it you can't play it again.

T.I.M.E Stories is a clever cinematic 'Groundhog Day' game. The base game itself serves as a gateway into worlds of adventure, that conjured up memories of long gone television series: such as Sliders, Time Tunnel and Life on Mars. The gameplay itself is highly individualised between scenarios and offers interesting challenges and rules variations. While the reply value has come under scrutiny, I personally look at how often I go to a movie or pay for an evenings entertainment, and T.I.M.E Stories comes out as an affordablely entertaining night in with like minded friends.

TIME Stories is an excellent game which is more like a choose-your-own-adventure book than a board game. During the game you will explore different locations, speak to various people, collect clues and use what you discover during the game to solve the mystery. A full play through takes around 4 hours will occur over several runs. Each run lasts about 1hour and with each run you will have more insight into where to look, who to speak to and what areas are a waste of time. The downside to TIME Stories is that there is only one game in the box and that you will need to purchase other modules/expansions to keep playing. That being said some parts of the game will be very memorable but other parts will be forgotten quickly so you could always replay this game several months in the future.

A highly enjoyable game, that receives a lower rating because of it's value for money. The game takes about 5 hours to play through, and we sat down for three individual sittings to finish it off (although conceivably you could finish it in one long session). The artwork is excellent, and there is a surprising amount of tension (contrary to other suggestions about the game) as you're still trying to complete the game in as few runs as possible. There's some interesting twists, and we definitely didn't explore the entire game before completing (suggesting that there are possibly multiple ways to complete the game). I enjoyed the first story more than the Marcy case, and have bought all subsequent expansions (although I recommend finding some players who are willing to share the cost with you).

Awesome fun game that can get anyone involed. Story based and easy to follow so new board gamers get into it easily. Get art and thene. Really interesting senarios. The better value is in the comming expansions as they get better at delving into the game and making use of all the components in this box. Only downside is that once you play through the story a few times you are done. So each story lasts maybe 4 hours.
