Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games is the third game in the 'Mario & Sonic' series, and technically the best.

However, it's not a great evolution from the previous titles - with little more than a London-inspired fresh lick of paint. Despite this, there is a lot of fun to be had with multiple players, with fun sporting minigames and 'London Party Mode' (basically an interactive board game, with games, trivia, etc.)

A solid game for multiplayer, but seriously lacking in single-player thrills.
Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games has mileage that will vary depending on who you are. If you're the type who loves continuously honing their skills, getting new records, comparing times with others online, and unlocking goodies via the scratch and blank cards, you will find a lot to enjoy. If you're the type who if you've played one mini-game collection, you've played them all, then perhaps you should just stick with watching the Olympics from home instead of participating in them in virtual form with a cast of famed mascots. While not all of the events are winners (I'm looking in the general direction of Synchronized Swimming, the Dream Long Jump, and several strength-related events), the majority of them are tremendous fun, and the joy of playing with family and friends in regular events.
The games honestly is not that much different from the previous olympics game. Of course the location is different and there are a few additions here and there, the game is not up to the expectations set from the last game. Cons aside, this game does still maintain the importance of timing. Most of the events requires a person to have great timing hence I found was still very amusing.
Bought this for my little bro and he loved it. Awesome fun playing in Olympic type events, with awesome sonic characters. Very fun, the whole family can enjoy it, and being on a Wii you get some good exercise out of it too! Running events were one of the favourites :) great times to be had all round
