BE WARY OF BUYING THIS GAME.
If you are considering this game, instead look at buying Monster Hunter Tri Ultimate for either the Wii U or the 3DS.
This was an excellent game when it first came out, however this is no longer the case.
The single player portion of the game is highly enjoyable, and you will get many hours of fun saving Moga village and exploring the various habitats - however, the vast majority of the games content was dedicated to the multiplayer portion of the game, and Capcom has made the decision to switch off the Online servers permanently.
As a result, only Low Rank missions are available. The High Rank enemies and missions (the mid-end game content) is all inaccessible. While if you are willing to mod your Wii (voiding it's warranty and potentially making it permanently unusable) you can get access to most of the High Rank missions, you will still be unable to increase your Hunter Rank, which is used to unlock a large number of upgrades (specifically, increase the quality of food items that give bonuses on missions, which is a basic component of the game; and the ability to upgrade your armour past a certain point).
This is a game that is only worth buying if you are looking for a cheap taste, and don't mind only getting about a quarter of the content originally available in the game. If you want the full experience, instead look at Monster Hunter Tri Ultimate - not only does it have all the missing content, but it actually has drastically more as well.
