Product Description

Okami Game Wii

In Okami, the legendary monster Orochi has come back to life and turned the world into a veritable wasteland. Players must assume the role of a wolf, an embodiment of the sun god Amaterasu, which is capable of wielding unimaginable power. The state of the world lies in your hands as you must fight ominous beings and reclaim the earth from a curse that plagues it. It is crucial to help Amaterasu make the world a place where all living creatures can dwell once again. Defeating the creatures that Amaterasu encounters will not be a small feat. The real-time fighting system not only involves biting and ramming strikes, but also allows for various attacks using bronze mirror of Yata on its back as well as a host of other unique abilities. This system allows the usage of a myriad of specials attacks typically not associated with the physical prowess of a normal wolf. As the wolf becomes more powerful, more attacks become available. This blend of stylized graphics and unique gameplay will result in a rich and dynamic experience never seen before. Traditional Japanese art comes alive through beautiful scenic 3D levels Rooted in the third person perspective, you will need to interact with the people you encounter, building their faith by clandestinely answering their prayers and wishes

  • Create and destroy at will - Play as a god to re-establish order and beauty to a world laid barren by evil
  • Intense action-packed battles - Rooted in Japanese folklore, fight against a diverse line-up of demons and monsters
  • Interact with a unique and dynamic cast of characters

This is such a cheap version of a brilliant and legendary game. Visually stunning and musically luscious to boot. The motion controls suit this game perfectly. A truly unique game that ebbs and flows throughout many battles, all at the same time allowing for you to take in the splendour that is this experience. Play it on your Wii U for even better visuals. A definite must buy title, especially at this price.

A truly beautiful masterpiece, enriched with an artistic water colour style and Japanese mythology, Okami was quite an enjoyable game filled with unforgettable characters, music, story line, and an expansive unique world to immerse yourself in. The game play is fairly similar to that of the Legend of Zelda series where you play as the Shinto Sun Goddess Amaterasu reincarnated as a white wolf. It is Amatersu's mission to cleanse the land of evil and to bring nature back to it's former glory. There were a few issues however, a few characters were a little annoying such as Issun and there segments of dialogue that could have been done without but my main issue was the controls. The Wii's controls of the Celestial Brush were at many times frustrating because it simply did not read my actions, especially when I was trying to draw a circle or command the wind. Hopefully the PlayStation version is not so control sensitive. If you liked the Zelda series and love wolves and Japanese mythology then I highly recommend for you to pick up this game.

A truly brilliant JRPG. Okami boasts a wonderful story set in ancient Japan. The graphics are simply stunning, the game looks like a watercolour painting come to life. The gameplay is lengthy completing all quests will take you up around 50+ hours. The combat is really inventive thanks to the great Brush techniques. The motion controls are solid, but at times do not register. Quite simply this an experience like no other that all gamers should play. Amazing.

Okami is one of the most defining games of last generation. On the ps2 it was great, it's better on the wii with the added motion controls. If you have a choice however, pick up the downloadable ps3 version -- you'd be surprised how clean and vibrant a playstation 2 game could look.

If you're ordering games from a website like this you've probably heard of Okami. Believe the hype as Okami is an absolutely brilliant game that unfortunately didn't sell well at all. If you're a fan of the Legend of Zelda series you'll absolutely adore this game as it has a similar structure. In many ways it eclipses Zelda such as the EXP system and innovative Celestial Paintbrush which allows you to draw objects onto the field. The game is very Japanese but instead of acting as a barrier it gives the game an unfamiliar yet adventurous feel, like an Alice in Wonderland. My first play through took me around 45 hours so expect a very solid amount of gameplay.
