A truly beautiful masterpiece, enriched with an artistic water colour style and Japanese mythology, Okami was quite an enjoyable game filled with unforgettable characters, music, story line, and an expansive unique world to immerse yourself in. The game play is fairly similar to that of the Legend of Zelda series where you play as the Shinto Sun Goddess Amaterasu reincarnated as a white wolf. It is Amatersu's mission to cleanse the land of evil and to bring nature back to it's former glory. There were a few issues however, a few characters were a little annoying such as Issun and there segments of dialogue that could have been done without but my main issue was the controls. The Wii's controls of the Celestial Brush were at many times frustrating because it simply did not read my actions, especially when I was trying to draw a circle or command the wind. Hopefully the PlayStation version is not so control sensitive. If you liked the Zelda series and love wolves and Japanese mythology then I highly recommend for you to pick up this game.
