II is significantly better the its predecessor, and some hold it in regard as the best Assassins Creed game as of December 2013.
This is seriously one of the best video games I've ever played. There's a great science fiction story and it's also set in ancient times! To those who love to rack up achievements; well there's plenty in this game! It's so easy! The girl from Veronica Mars plays one of the characters. You'll recognise her very early on lol.
Assassins Creed II takes all of the great elements from the first game and combines them with more variety and less tedium than its predecessor. The mission variety is greater, as is the characterisation, controls and graphics. If you are looking for an entry point for the franchise, it may be worth skipping the first and starting here.
Classic game. An outstanding follow up to what I felt was one of the worst games I've ever played. They aimed high with this game and succeeded far beyond expectations. Ezio is far more engaging than Altaïr, the story is completely engrossing and the gameplay is oustanding. Highly recommend, along with all the AC games that followed this one.
Assassin's Creed II, is a brilliant game, if you were disappointed with the first but loved the idea AC2 solves the problems from the first installment. It gives answers to the odd ending of the first game, in fact AC1's ending now makes sense. This sequel contains a great story, a revenge filled quest that that goes deeper and deeper.
