Developed by Team Bondi, L.A. Noire is an interactive detective story set in the classic noir period of the late 1940s. L.A. Noire blends action, detection and complex storytelling and draws players into an open-ended challenge to solve a series of gruesome murders. Set in a perfectly recreated Los Angeles before freeways, with a post-war backdrop of corruption, drugs and jazz, L.A. Noire will truly blend cinema and gaming.
Using groundbreaking new animation technology that captures every nuance of an actor's facial performance in astonishing detail, L.A. Noire is a violent crime thriller that blends breathtaking action with true detective work to deliver an unprecedented interactive experience. Search for clues, chase down suspects and interrogate witnesses as you struggle to find the truth in a city where everyone has something to hide.
Storyline:
Amid the post-war boom of Hollywood's Golden Age, Cole Phelps, an LAPD detective is thrown headfirst into a city drowning in its own success. Corruption is rampant, the drug trade is exploding, and murder rates are at an all-time high.
In his fight to climb the ranks and do what's right, Phelps must unravel the truth behind a string of arson attacks, racketeering conspiracies and brutal murders, battling the L.A. underworld and even members of his own department to uncover a secret that could shake the city to its rotten core.

Learn more about usIf you're hoping for a GTA style game but set in the past. Nope. You're a cop, cops cant go around running over people and killing innocent citizens. Quite frankly, playing the cop is boring as hell. You're punished for every bad thing (imagine being in a chase in GTA, but having to slam on the brakes when an NPC runs out in front of your car? You can't, because you'd never do it. This game pretty much requires you to otherwise you'll never get a good reputation (which could mean being a crappy cop and failing missions).
Great game realeased by rockstar perfect story line and gameplay just like what we expect from a typical rockstar game to play smoothly and run great and also to have a rich story line to it overall this game is amazing and brilliant love playing this game it is beauitiful great game.
i do not recommend getting this game it is repetitive and reading the characters expressions can sometimes be a shot in the dark. often id find myself close to the end of a lead and have to restart because i couldnt read the characters expressions. The driving and graphics are all wonderful with authentic radio selections and a really good shooting system and are the only redeeming characteristics of this game
This is a very unique game with the facial animations being the best ever on any game to date. The game revolves around you solving crime and is part open world, part third person shooter. You basically in each mission, try to solve a case by analysing clues, interrogating suspects, get involved in some shooting and crack the case. If you're into unique and different games then you should try it out. It's made by Rockstar so it has a lot of polish and it has a lot of potential going into the future should they continue. Overall it's a fun game with a good story.
Rockstar's L.A Noire is a very impressive game, showing what years of work on facial expressions can do, with outstanding character models and voice acting from everybody involved. The act of looking around a crime scene to find clues to the overall mystery rewards people who are thorough in their search, while also allowing those who are a bit impatient to finish the game properly as well. The truth-doubt-lie mechanic gets rather old about half way through the game, while the first half of the game is quite entertaining and fresh. The game is definitely a must buy for anybody who calls themselves a gamer, offering a unique experience no other game on the market currently can provide.
