Product Description

Resonance Of Fate Game Xbox 360

Civilization on earth has long been forgotten with the previously lush world now a burned out remnant of its former self. Originally built as an experimental life support system, Basel is now the only place on Earth where mankind can sustain their lives.

As their role, the PMF (Private Military Firm) the group (Vasheron, Zephyr and Leanne), must seek out and complete quests for their clients leading them on a journey that will reveal the truth of Basel.

Resonance of Fate is developed by the heralded RPG developers, tri-Ace, who have had a hand in developing some of gaming’s most celebrated RPG franchises from Star Ocean to Valkyrie Profile. Sega and tri-Ace now introduce Resonance of Fate, which adds a new spin to the genre with a new cinematic action gameplay system centred around gun play and a steam punk styled world.

  • Experienced RPG development team: tri-Ace, the creators of RPG franchises - Star Ocean, Valkyrie Profile and Infinite Undiscovery - are behind this entirely new vision of fate within a steam punk world.
  • Battle system: Battle in fantastic cinematic action as your characters wield firearms in a semi-real time gameplay system.
  • Invincible mode: Pull spectacular moves and precision attacks through this special mode designed to chain enemy attacks together.
  • Unique story: Built around a gigantic tower machine, the story will delve deep into fate and the machinery that controls it.
  • Beautiful environments: Masterfully crafted environments pepper this title to illustrate the deep tapestry of this dystopian world

Customer Reviews

A great storyline as in most JRPs, it kept me engaged for an amazing length of time - and still had enough to make me play through it a second time. This also has a brilliant, refreshing, and to start with - mind blowingly frustrating battle system. It is like real time mixed with turn based combat so you can take time to weigh up your options and then when the action starts you have real time events to deal with - this is great as it breaks from the mould of just hammering the A button over and over. I would recommend this to anyone who thinks themselves a fan of RPGs/JRPGs.

This is a punishment game. With a somewhat steep learning curve, this game is set in a bleak but interesting world. Characters are fun and some cut scenes can be outright hilarious. This has some great IP that I hope they will expand in a sequel. But be warned, you may be put off early on in the game because you keep losing the battles, but there is strategy you need to deploy. And once you get the hang of it, though you may still die (but death should be much rarer when you get the hang of it), you feel very satisfied destroying the enemies that blocked your path earlier. Enjoy building your guns and customizing them for each character. Leveling up your characters is a very satisfying experience. Sega would be stupid not to make a sequel.

Resonance of fate is a unique JRPG it differs to traditional JRPGs in many ways. The combat and the exploration systems are completely different. It uses a turn base combat system but also allows you to move around the battlefield and strategically position your characters during your turn. The navigation/exploration of this game is done using a 'hex system' and pretty much works as a giant puzzle piece. once you place down your hex piece you may then "travel" over the areas covered (its done over a map and you move using a cursor). You can however properly explore key areas such as dungeons and towns using your actual characters. The game is also extremely difficult. The storyline is pretty average and is what you would normally see in a JRPG. The combat system however is the key feature that would appeal to most players. Overall it is an interesting game looks great! and has a unique game play. Worth getting if you are a fan of JRPGs.
