This is *IP-based Horror-Stealth-Survivor gameplay at its most atmospheric and exhilarating. Probably not great to play if you have anxiety issues. *IP = Intellectual Property = The Alien Saga. It really feels like you're playing in the movies' worlds / ships. You'd want to have a great sound system set up because when you first encounter the super tough alien you'll be glad you wore your brown pants!
It's very thrilling (and spooky) and great if you love stealth games.
Recommend the DLC too if you're a fan of the film saga - just fleshes out the world a bit more.

Don't buy into the reviews for this game. They don't do it justice. Alien Isolation has to be one of the best horror/thriller games I've played in quite some time. The Alien is invincible, smart and unpredictable and it really makes you think twice before fighting other enemies. This isn't a shooter, it's a stealth game and an excellent one at that.

The Alien sequel that never was.
Alien: Isolation is the perfect example of a well-crafted horror movie. Consisting of the most effective and haunting sound design I've ever heard in a video game, Isolation reproduces the look and feel of the original two movies with its narrow corridors, nightmarish lighting and unique Alien AI. No encounter with the Xenomorph will ever be the same, and will often leave you cowering in the shadows.
Don't miss this game.

Alien Isolation is a fantastic horror game and the Xenomorph isn't all you should be fearful of. The lonely, quiet areas and the perfectly crafted eerie atmosphere makes this game a truly terrifying experience. Whilst the story doesn't hold up all that well, the gameplay is a blast. This game is terrifying!
