THE VIEW: Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Is "Not the Same Old Call of Duty." - Sledgehammer Games co-founder says three years of development, a new game engine, and new consoles will make this year's entry one to remember!
Call of Duty Advanced Warfare XBOX One, developed by Sledgehammer Games (co-developers of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3), harnesses the first three-year, all next-gen development cycle in franchise history.
Call of Duty Advanced Warfare envisions the powerful battlegrounds of the future, where both technology and tactic have evolved to usher in a new era of combat for the franchise. Delivering a stunning performance, Academy Award winning actor Kevin Spacey stars as Jonathan Irons – one of the most powerful men in the world – shaping this chilling vision of the future of war.
Power Changes Everything.
An Advanced World:
Call of Duty Advanced Warfare takes place in a plausible future in which technological progress and today’s military practices have converged with powerful consequences.
In this carefully researched and crafted vision of the future, Private Military Corporations (PMCs) have become the dominant armed forces for countless nations outsourcing their military needs, redrawing borders and rewriting the rules of war.
And Jonathan Irons, the founder and president of the world’s largest PMC - Atlas Corporation - is at the center of it all.
An Advanced Soldier:
Powerful exoskeletons evolve every aspect of a soldier’s battle readiness, enabling combatants to deploy with an advanced lethality and eliminating the need for specialization.
The introduction of this gameplay mechanic delivers enhanced player movement and verticality through boost jumps and grappling, covert cloaking abilities, and biomechanics that provide unparalleled strength, awareness, endurance, and speed.
With the advent of the exoskeleton and newly advanced armor and weaponry, every soldier commands tactical freedom in any terrain unlike ever before, fundamentally changing the way gamers play Call of Duty across all modes.
An Advanced Arsenal:
Harnessing the power of next-gen platforms, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare brings players into the battlegrounds of the future by boasting a new hi-tech, advanced arsenal and ability set, arming players with all-new equipment, technology, perks, and vehicles like hoverbikes and highly specialized drones.
Players can also choose between standard ammunition and an all-new class of directed-energy weaponry that enables totally new gameplay dynamics.
And with exoskeletons delivering a massive force multiplier and unprecedented tactical freedom, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare evolves every firefight.

The single player experience is full of the usual COD stuff, Set pieces galore and the usual enemy AI we have come to expect from this series. Nothing new other than the exo suit which doesn't really add much to the game and doesn't offer any freedom to game other than the desired path that has been chosen for you to take. As for the multiplayer my personal opinion is that i's lost what had made it fun, it feels slower and erratic with people jumping all over the place and the maps aren't as well designed as previous COD's. If you find in a bargain bin maybe give it a go other than that i'd avoid it

This is a fun game to play but I've had frequent issues connecting to Multiplayer games.
That said, the story was pretty awesome and the cameo appearance from Kevin Spacey was brilliant.
Great game to play - Would recommend.

Call of Duty Advanced Warfare is a fantastic first person shooter. The game is fast paced, pretty and well balanced. The multiplayer is good fun and exo abilities spice up the gameplay making it new and refreshing. However the game's campaign doesn't hold up quite as well and the story is lackluster. This is a great buy for any fan of the fps genre.

I've been a huge fan of the Call of Duty series. Advanced Warfare has made some changes to give it a little life. Changes are sometimes good, sometimes bad. In this case I found the multi player and exo survival to be absolutely terrible. It's just lost the good feel that previous COD's have had. The single player campaign is brilliant however. It's award winning by its own right. I must admit though, that this is the first COD game that I've ever even thought about on-selling due to the fact that I'm already bored with it.

So far the Single Player mission has been fun. Frustrating at times but overall a good experience. The detail in the graphics, especially the characters like Kevin Spacey's and other NPCs are remarkable and are getting close to mimicking real life. The game play is frantic and keeps you on your toes. Looking forward to the rest of the story line. (Not quite sure how far I am, but I’m guessing not that far yet...)
