Resident Evil 7 is the first game in the resident evil series I have ever played. As a new comer to the series I felt the first person perspective was a welcome change and the setting and story were absolutely brilliant. Definitely one of my favourite games of 2017 the exploration of the house and the bakers was always interesting, and the progression through each area was always interesting. Finding secrets and scavenging for resources was incredibly well done, and the variation in the Bakers was really unique. As a bonus Madhouse difficulty substantially changes the game up, more so than a traditional difficulty level would, which I though was great to keep a second play through interesting but familiar. Unfortunately some downsides include the molded enemies not being very interesting or showing much variety and towards the end of the game I felt the story started to loose focus, but only briefly.

I've played Resident Evil / Biohazard since Playstation time, and played every single release from 1 to 6. And 7 is a horrific and fantastic game, if you are not scare of horror, I recommend you to play it dark after 12am, turn up the volume (with PSVR if you are luck to have one, I own the game on both XBox and PS4, PSVR experience are at best) and experience the noise in your surroundings, and feel the game... 7 is definitely better than 6, and 5... well, let me say I missed the co-op from 5 and 6, but in return 7 is a real survival horror game with a scary atmosphere, not the action. Just a warning to those who have motion sickness or heart attack, have a person standing by just in case you need help... this will be a memorable one...
