Sunset Overdrive is one of the best looking games on the Xbox One, both on a technical and artistic level. The city itself is large, dense with buildings and artifacts, with plenty of variation in architectural style. Everything's coated in a bright, saturated coat of paint, giving the game a cartoonish quality that's easy to love. When you're in the midst of battle, sometimes with what seems like a hundred enemies, the screen fills with explosions, bursts of lightning, and occasionally bright green ooze.
Sunset Overdrive is a fun game with alot to do in it, but after all that is done or once you have completed the story it's pretty boring. However there is online multiplayer that can be a blast running around a city killing enemies doing missions it can be fun. It's a good looking game but like most games becomes repetitive after a while.
This is an awesome game, that hasn't really got the love it deserves. The first few hours sadly are just a bunch of fetch quests, but as soon as you get past that the game really picks up and gets so inventive in it's gameplay. It is like no other game out there... except maybe Ratchet and Clank?
Sunset Overdrive is extremely different from your standard shooter but does what it is trying to create well. Bright, full of color and never taking itself too seriously, Sunset Overdrive is a breath of fresh air that sees you bouncing and grinding around the vast city killing thousands of zombie type enemies known as OD with the out of this world weapons pumped up by amps unlocked along the way. Genuinely fun and with a good story to match Sunset Overdrive is an essential for any Xbox One owner
Very inventive and a blast to play, like a serious sam athletic zombie fest with a saints row arsenal. Yet to me remains an unique in it's own way game with somewhat of a story and side quest for the obsessive to get the best the first playthrough. I needed this...
